You can achieve that same feeling in your own home, and you don’t have to spend a fortune! Keep reading for some simple, budget-friendly tips to organize your home like a luxury hotel.
Disclaimer:
Just a heads up! While I’ve linked to some of my favorite products in this post, please note that
I am not being paid by any company to mention these items. I genuinely believe they’re great products that can help you create a stylish and organized space on a budget. Happy organizing!

1. Start with Decluttering
The first step to creating that luxurious hotel feel is decluttering. A cluttered space never feels calm or chic, but a clean, streamlined room immediately feels more elegant.
• Tip: Tackle one area at a time. Start with your closets or kitchen counters, removing anything you don’t use or love.
• Product suggestion: Try these clear storage bins for organizing smaller items. I absolutely LOVE these in pantries! They help you organize granola bars, mini packs, & smaller on-the-go type snacks! They’ll help keep everything in its place and make your space look tidier!
** If you have little ones, let them help you restock these cute organizers with their favorite snacks! These will save you a lot of time in the morning packing their lunches & even after work when you're not ready to cook. A lot of kids want to help (especially at a time when you just really need to get out the door & don't have time to look over their shoulders). Your cabinets are not as cluttered & your babies feel like they help out. I call that a win-win! **
2. Master the Art of Clothing Organization
A five-star hotel always has an organized closet, and you can replicate that look in your own home by maximizing your closet space. Now, not all of us have that 5-piece bedroom set. Some don't even have a dresser. Whatever your space, I've got something to help you out!
If you store your clothes in a closet: Check these out!
These are great. Especially if you have A LOT of clothes. With these, you can hang up to six things at once (yes, even those jeans) & maximize your closet space! They are actually pretty cool. You can choose if you want the hanger vertical or horizontal.
If you store your clothes in a drawer: Check these out!
These are pretty self-explanatory. Just little foldable organizing bins to put in your messy drawers (yes, I'm talking about yours). These will take clutter and turn it into seamless organization.
If you'd prefer under the bed storage: Check these out!
Ahhh, classic. We had these growing up. Whether putting clothes under your bed is the only place you can put clothes, or you just need somewhere out of sight to put the bulky winter coat in the middle of summer, these O.G.s will have your back.
• Tip: Use velvet hangers for a sleek, uniform look that keeps clothes from slipping off.
3. Create a Luxurious Bed Setup
One of the easiest ways to make your home feel like a hotel is by upgrading your bed. A comfortable and stylish bed is the focal point of a five-star hotel room.
• Tip: Invest in these high-thread-count sheets for a soft and luxurious feel. Opt for neutral colors like white or light gray for that hotel-inspired vibe. I don't mean to keep plugging Amazon (again, not sponsored). They really just have a ton of good products.
• Product suggestion: I recently just purchased a silk pillowcase from my local shop. It did take me a few days to get used to it. Mostly because I'm sensitive when it comes to trying new things. For example, when I slept with this pillowcase for the first time, I thought it was making me sweaty. But, in reality it was just very cooling, and I wasn't sweating at all. It just took me a minute to realize every side on a silk pillowcase feels like the "cool side" of a pillow. Now, any other pillowcase seems strange. Not to mention, silk pillowcases are known to help with hair breakage & skin imperfections.
• Product suggestion: Add this cozy blanket to the foot of the bed for that cozy, luxurious touch. I personally have one of these & I don't keep it on my bed all the time. I take it to the couch to get cozy as well. The fabric on this specific blanket is light weight, but also easy to layer with other blankets without being too bulky. To be honest, throws are cute and all, but I need something to cover my entire body twice so I can be the little burrito that I am. That's why I love these blankets in king & queen sizes specifically. But, if you're just a tiny, petite, low-maintenance, not-like-other-girls, itsy-bitsy, "I'm the main character" type of person, throws are more your speed, I guess.
4. Utilize Stylish Storage Solutions
Keeping your home organized is key to maintaining that hotel-like aesthetic, and functional storage solutions can help you do just that.
• Product suggestion: Use woven baskets or decorative bins for stylish storage in places like your bathroom, living room, or entryway. They’re not only functional but also add texture and charm to your space. To be honest (again), I don't think I've seen hotels with storage bins. But keeping a clutter free area is essential to this vibe. Personally, I keep these under my sink, in cabinets, etc. You can find these in smaller sizes to free up already cramped spaces or get them in a larger size so you can roll up some blankets in the living room. Plus, depending on the color & style you get, they can blend in with the color on your walls to create a more open looking space.
• Product suggestion: Invest in a multi-functional ottoman with hidden storage to store extra blankets or magazines while keeping things stylish. Now these. I've seen these everywhere & whoever came up with this idea, needs to be cherished. If you live in an apartment like me, chances are, you don't have a massive storage closet or an attic to stuff things in. These are insanely helpful. If you just moved into your own place & the go-to gift people keep giving you are throw blankets (same here...all appreciated though), you have to find a place to put all of them. Maybe you are super into seasonal decorating & you just can't find a place to put those cute yet oddly shaped pumpkin pillows. There is where you'd put them. Super easy. Super simple.
5. Keep Your Surfaces Clean and Clutter-Free
One thing every hotel room has in common is clutter-free surfaces. Keeping your coffee tables, counters, and nightstands clear will help create a calm, serene environment.
• Tip: Display only a few carefully chosen items on your tables—maybe this yummy smelling candle or a fresh flower arrangement. Less is more! I love the thought of reading before bed, though I usually end up scrolling through Pinterest or Facebook. There are a lot of things that I put by my bed because I want them to be included in my morning or nightly routine. When in reality, they just clutter my space and overwhelm me even more. So, I just try to keep the basics.
• Product suggestion: A decorative tray is a great way to keep things looking neat while still showing off your favorite items. Whether your style is funky checker print or concrete neutrals with matte black detailing, you can find almost anything that will match your vibe.
6. Perfect Your Lighting
Lighting can completely transform your space. In a hotel, the right lighting creates a relaxing, elegant atmosphere—and you can easily replicate that at home.
• Tip: Use soft, warm lighting with dimmable lamps for a cozy vibe. Add a statement light fixture in the dining room or living room for a touch of glamour.
• Product suggestion: Consider adding floor & bedside lamps to your space for softer lighting that’s perfect for reading or unwinding. Another thing that I've noticed luxury hotels have are light up bathroom mirrors. Now, I know I personally cannot afford to rip out my perfectly good bathroom mirror & perfectly replace it. So, adding these LED strip lights to your space will create a luxury feel without having to crack open your piggy bank. A good thing about most of these lights is that it comes with a remote with different settings. Feeling more warm tone lighting? No problem! Need some color for a Halloween party? Of course! I love how you can adjust these types of lights.
** If you already have the bathroom lighting under control, these LED strip lights would be amazing either under your bed or behind your headboard. Maybe even your stairs if you have them! **
7. Make Your Bathroom Feel Like a Spa
Last but not least, let’s talk about the bathroom! A hotel-quality bathroom is all about pristine surfaces and luxurious touches.
• Tip: Use these Egyptian cotton towels in neutral shades like white, cream, or gray. I find that certain "luxury" towels don't really absorb much and all they do is transfer the fuzzies to your body & clog your dryer lint trap. I may be a little biased, but Egyptians seem to have it all figured out when it comes to comfort. Now, you definitely don't have to throw away all of your current towels just to replace them all with hundreds of dollars' worth of Egyptian cotton towels, wash cloths, & hand towels. I only have a few and use them when I want to feel a little fancy.
• Product suggestion: Invest in a bath tray to hold your favorite lotions and soaps. A decorative soap dispenser will instantly elevate your space. I got mine from World Market. It is just a basic matte black soap dispenser. Getting either a matching set or just things that look like they go together will create a more cohesive flow to your space.
It’s totally possible to organize your home like a luxury hotel on a budget! By decluttering, maximizing your closet space, and adding stylish storage and lighting, you can transform your home into a five-star retreat. Don’t forget to focus on those small, luxurious details—like high-thread-count sheets and decorative trays—that will make a huge difference in the overall vibe of your space.
